“Vietnam People's Public Security Forces – 80 Years for a Peaceful Life” Exhibition opens in Hanoi

PSNews - The Ministry of Public Security, in coordination with the Hanoi People’s Committee, officially opened an exhibition titled “Vietnam People's Public Security Forces – 80 Years for a Peaceful Life” at the Hanoi Museum.

Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To chaired the opening ceremony.

The exhibition is part of a series of commemorative events marking the 80th founding anniversary of the People's Public Security Forces.

It aims to express gratitude and honor the dedication and sacrifices of generations of public security officers in the past, while raising public awareness of the shared responsibility in safeguarding national security and social order.

On display are approximately 500 documents, artifacts and photographs reflecting the journey of building and developing of the Public Security Forces as well as their outstanding achievements in the protection of national security and social order. 

The exhibition also showcases over 300 types of weapons, vehicles and specialized technical equipment used by the Public Security Forces in various operations. They are arranged under three thematic sections: Historical Imprints; Vietnam – Laos – Cambodia: A Mark of Cooperation and Development; and Effective, Efficient, Modern Public Security Forces – For a Peaceful Life.

The exhibition is open to the public from August 5 to September 14, 2025, daily from 08:00 to 17:00 at the Hanoi Museum.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To emphasized that each item and image on display conveys profound messages about the glorious tradition of the heroic Public Security Forces and the enduring strength of the Vietnamese people in safeguarding national security and social order.

He called on all public security units and agencies to create favorable conditions for officers and enlistees to visit the exhibition with the aim of enhancing traditional education for them. 

He also encouraged public security units and agencies to organize a visit for their officers and enlistees to the exhibition in couple with other meaningful activities organized by the Ministry of Public Security and the Hanoi People's Committee, especially those celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2).

Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To proposed that the Hanoi Party Committee and People’s Committee link the exhibition with other celebration activities in the city, while calling on the media to actively promote the exhibition’s values and significance as well as the heroic tradition of the Public Security Forces among the youth, the country’s future generation.
