At the meeting, Minister To Lam and Chairman Eduardo Manahan Año had an open and effective exchange on various issues of mutual concern in an effort to contribute to boost relations and cooperation between the two countries.

The two sides agreed to increase delegation exchanges and high-level contacts via channels, expand cooperation on the digital economy, green economy and marine economy as well as strengthen the resilience of the supply chain.

Particularly, the two sides agreed to bolster cooperation in preventing and combating terrorism, transnational crimes, crimes with the use of high technology and economic crimes, strengthen the Vietnam –Philippines Working Group mechanism as well as step up the establishment of a Joint Working Group (JWG) to implement the Cooperation Agreement between the two governments on preventing and combating all types of crime.

Thanking Minister To Lam for the warm and esteemed meeting, Mr. Eduardo Manahan Año expressed his joy at the development in relations between the two countries in general, in the cooperation between the two countries' functional forces in particular in addressing common issues in ASEAN, especially in maritime security. 

The guest wished to further cooperate with Vietnamese competent forces in maritime security.

Mr. Eduardo Manahan Año affirmed that he will do his best to deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries in general and ties between Philippine law enforcement agencies and Vietnam's Ministry of Public Security in particular.
