Vietnam Railways installs automatic ticket gates at Hanoi and HCMC train stations

PSNews - The Vietnam Railway officially put the automatic ticket gates into operation in order to improve customer service and ensure security, order and safety at the stations.

The railway sector has so far installed six lanes with ten automatic ticket gates in Hanoi Railway Station and three lanes with five gates in Ho Chi Minh City Railway Station.

Passengers scan their printed or electronic tickets at the automatic ticket gates to enter platforms and board trains. The ticket information on the QR Code bar will be sent to the railway's system with software to check the ticket’s validity.

If the ticket is valid, the gate will automatically open for the passenger to enter platforms. If the ticket is not valid, the gate will not open and notify the passenger with LED lights and sounds of the ticket's status.

At all the stations, the Vietnam Railways deploys attendants at service of all passengers, especially to the elderly, the disabled or pregnant women.
