Vietnamese MPS and Kazakhstan National Security Committee hold high-level talk

PSNews - A high-level delegation of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security led by Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security on April 19 paid a working visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan at the invitation of Chairman of the Kazakhstan National Security Committee, Mr. Karim Massimov. 

At the meeting between the two sides in the Kazakhstani Capital of Astana, Chairman of the Kazakhstan National Security Committee Karim Massimov warmly welcomed and highly valued the visit to the country of Minister To Lam and the Vietnamese public security delegation. He also congratulated Vietnam and its people on the achievements in many filed, especially in crime prevention and fight.

Chairman of the Kazakhstan National Security believed that the visit has marked an important milestone in the bilateral cooperation between the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, contributing to promoting the traditional friendship between the two countries.

On behalf of the high-ranking delegation, Minister To Lam extended sincere thanks to Mr. Karim Massimov for his reception, and stated that the Vietnamese Government and people always remember the valuable support and assistance from the Government and people of Kazakhstan in the past struggles for national liberation and present cause of national development and defense.

He reiterated that Vietnam treasures the traditional friendship with Kazakhstan and considers it as an important partner in Central Asia, and affirmed that Vietnam is ready to be a bridge to connect Kazakhstan to ASEAN.

The two sides then exchanged views on global and regional situations and the security and order situation of each country.

The two sides agreed to increase high-level delegation exchange, consultations and information sharing on regional and international issues of mutual concern, transnational crime prevention and control, and cooperation in professional training for law enforcement officers.

The two sides also agreed to strengthen cooperation to ensure security and safety for diplomatic agencies and legal activities, legitimate rights and interests of citizens of one country in the other country as well as to coordinate and support each other in multilateral forums and organizations.

On this occasion, Minister To Lam invited  Mr. Karim Massimov and other officials of the Kazakhstan National Security Committee to visit Vietnam. Mr. Karim Massimov happily accepted the invitation.

Within the framework of the visit, Minister To Lam and the high-ranking delegation also visited the Kazakhstan National Museum and the Presidential Library of Kazakhstan.
