Vietnamese officials congratulate Lao Security Force on 60th founding anniversary

PSNews – A delegation led by Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Ba Hung on April 2 visited and congratulated the Lao Ministry of Security (MoS) on the occasion of its 60th founding anniversary (May 4, 1961-2021). 

Major General Hoang Quang Huong, Chief Representative of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security (MPS) in Laos also joined the delegation.

At the reception, Ambassador Nguyen Ba Hung and Major General Hoang Quang Huong presented flowers of congratulations from by General To Lam, Politburo’s member, Minister of the Vietnamese Public Security to leaders of the Lao MoS.

On behalf of the Lao MoS, Lieutenant General Kongthong Phongvichit said that over the last 60 years since its formation, the Lao Security Force has received wholehearted support from the Party, State, and people of Vietnam in general and the Vietnamese MPS in particular.

This help has importantly support the Lao Security Force to fulfill all tasks assigned by the Lao Party, State, and people.

Lieutenant General Kongthong Phongvichit hoped that, the Lao MoS and the Vietnamese MPS will further foster their partnership in the future to ensure security, safety, and order in each country, and facilitate the bilateral economic and trade cooperation.

He also affirmed that, the Lao Security Force is willing to cooperate with its Vietnamese counterpart to protect the peaceful and stable lives of the Vietnamese and Lao people and to promote the traditional friendship and special unity between the two countries.

Speaking at the reception, Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Ba Hung congratulated the glorious achievements of the Lao Security Force over the past 60 years and highlighted the strong and effective cooperation in all aspects of the two countries’ public security forces.

Ambassador Nguyen Ba Hung believed that, in the upcoming time, the cooperation between the Vietnamese MPS and the Lao MoS will be further strengthened, contributing to nurturing the Vietnam-Laos friendship.

On this occasion, the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos, the Representative Office of the Vietnamese MPS in Laos and the Lao MoS co-held a photo exhibition marking 60 years of Vietnamese public security experts sent to work in Laos.
