After the ASEAN-India Expo & Forum in Thailand, many companies have surprisedly realized that Vietnam goods are loved by ASEAN consumers.

According to representatives of the participating Vietnamese companies, Vietnam has a wide range of products that are suitable for customers in the region, especially customers in Thailand.

Especially, Vietnam’s food company Vinamit had brought its best organic dried fruit products to the event. Its showcased products have been approved by the fastidious markets of Europe and the US. According to the company’s representative, only after 3 days of the event, Vinamit's products had been sold out.  Moreover, many partners wanted to partner with Vinamit, including two major retail chains, BJC and Central.

The well-known Vietnamese shoe manufacturing company Bitis has won cooperation offers from seven wholesale distributors, including the largest retail group, Central Group (owner of Big C and Robison supermarket chains and Robinson, Tesco Lotus supermarkets).

Reportedly, Vietnamese products also interested Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-Ocha and President of the Thailand-Vietnam Business Council Sanan Angubolkul as they visited Vietnam’s pavilion and highly valued the organic rice products of Vietnam.

On the sidelines of the forum, the Vietnamese delegation and the Thailand-Vietnam Business Council co-organised international workshop to promote trade and opportunities to enter the Thai and ASEAN markets. A networking event was also held to connect Vietnamese businesses with tens of distributors and importers of Thailand and other foreign countries, thus helping Vietnamese products better penetrate into international markets.
