Winners of the contest on Uncle Ho with the Public Security Forces, Public Security Forces with Uncle Ho announced

PSNews - The Department of Information and Communications under the Ministry of Public Security on December 7 held the final round of the contest "Uncle Ho with the Public Security Forces and the Public Security Forces with Uncle Ho". Via their excellent music and art performances,  the 14 participating teams in the finale reflected the dynamism, creativity and unity of all officers, soldiers and workers of the department.

Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Deputy Minister of Public Security sent flowers of congratulation to the contest.

The contest "Uncle Ho with the Public Security Forces and the Public Security Forces with Uncle Ho" was part of the various activities to celebrate the 72nd anniversary of the publication of the first issue of the Public Security Newspaper (November 1, 1946-2018); the 53rd anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Radio of the Public Security Forces (December 24, 1965-2018) and the 7th anniversary of the first broadcast day of ANTV (December 11, 2011-2018).

Delivering the opening speech at the event, Major General Mai Van Ha, Director of the Department of Information and Communications under the Ministry of Public Security affirmed that the contest was considered a political forum, aiming to raise the awareness of each officer, soldier and member within the department about the importance of Uncle Ho's Six Teachings.

The contest encouraged contestants to show their knowledge and talent suitable with the specific conditions of their units. It was also seen as a useful playground for participating teams to promote their creativity, create a lively emulation atmosphere, strengthen solidarity among individuals and units of the department.

According to Major General Pham Van Mien, Editor in Chief of the Public Security Newspaper, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications, Head of the Jury Board, the 14 participating teams in the final round have brought to the contest many special items, such as drama, poetry recitation, story telling, dance, music to name but a few. 

In particular, the teams highlighted Uncle Ho's teachings for the revolutionary press of Vietnam. Several teams, particularly the team of the Online Edition Section of the Public Security Newspaper, and the News Section of ANTV, also used foreign languages in their performances, reflecting the Public Security Forces’ international integration.

At the award ceremony, the organizing board presented the special prize to the News Section of ANTV. The Editorial Section of ANTV and the Logistics Section of ANTV received the first prize.

The five second prizes went to  the Cinematography and Stage-management Section of ANTV; the Online Edition Section of the Public Security Newspaper; the Political Division; the Theme Section of ANTV, and the Representative Office in the Central Highlands.

The organizing board also presented third prizes and other awards to participating teams with good performances..
