The event saw the presence of Deputy Minister of Public Security, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh along with Chairman of Vietnam Writers’ Association and Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations Huu Thinh, as well as other officials and writers.

The 4th literary work contest "For national security and peaceful life" was launched on August 15, 2017, and ended on the 75th founding anniversary of the Public Security Forces (August 19, 2020).

Over the past three years, the organizing panel of the contest has received more than 120 literary entries.

At the closing ceremony, the organizing panel awarded three A prizes, five B prizes, five C prizes, and eight consolation prizes to writers with excellent works.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh affirmed that, over the years, writers have written numerous novels and literary works vividly featuring the task performance and development of the Public Security Forces and contributed to fighting wrong and hostile views, wrongdoings, and corruption.

Furthermore, with their literary works, the authors have made people understand more about the silent sacrifices of public security officers and soldiers in the fight against crimes.

On behalf of the MPS’s leadership, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh thanked all authors for their support for the Public Security Forces over the past time.

He expressed hope that the writers will continue to make up more literary works featuring the Public Security Forces in the coming time.
