The charitable team of the PSN, Cao Bang Police and donors started off their trip early in the morning of August 20 to Truong Ha commune, suffering severe losses caused by flash floods in the beginning of August.

According to the Cao Bang Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Rescue, heavy rains occurred in various areas of the province on August 2 and 3. Truong Ha commune suffered the most severe consequences with many houses, crops and animals being washed away by the floods.

With a view to supporting the flood-affected people, youths of the Provincial Police of Cao Bang coordinated with the local authorities to dredge the trenches, sewers and other irrigation works in order to help local people resume their production. Additionally, many youths of the Cao Bang Police also visited, encouraged and offered gifts to families suffering heavy losses due to the flooding.

Earlier, the youths of Cao Bang Police and the PSN had called on organizations and individuals in Hanoi to donate money and necessities in support of the local people.
