Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung works with Academy of Security Engineering and Technology

Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung chaired a working session with the Academy of Security Engineering and Technology (ASET) on the afternoon of May 12, 2026.

Reporting to the Deputy Minister at the meeting, the ASET Director Major General Le Minh Thao stated that, under its new name and in spite of new organizational structure, the Academy has successfully fulfilled key tasks assigned by the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security.

Notably, the Academy advised the higher-level authority to invest in important projects serving as a foundation for its future development of the academy. On the other hand, the academy actively developed software and applications supporting leadership, administration, education, training and scientific research, as well as completed the procedures for the training of new majors and educational programs.

At the meeting, delegates clarified difficulties and obstacles in various areas of work, as well as propose solutions to solve them in the coming period.

Addressing the working session, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung acknowledged and commended the academy for its achievements since the beginning of the 2025–2026 academic year, especially during the transition from a university to an academy model with new and complex tasks that it has never experienced before.

He considered that the academy’s initial results were commendable, requesting the Academy leadership to continue adopting breakthrough solutions to each assigned task.

In particular, he requested that the Academy develop detailed plans with clearly defined assignment of each working position, while mobilizing scientists and experts within and outside the Public Security Forces to participate in the implementation of the projects so that they can be completed on schedule.

The Deputy Minister also stressed that the Academy should proactively report its difficulties and issues to leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and relevant functional units in order to promptly receive directions and guidance.
