Hanoi Police to dismiss unqualified commanders

PSNews-On June 12, the Hanoi Municipal Police organized a conference to review outcomes of the force building work in the second quarter and map out key tasks in the third quarter of 2017.

The Hanoi Municipal Police’s leaders briefed participants on the Resolution by the Central Public Security Party Committee on personnel in the 2017-2020 period, and announced the decision to establish the “Steering Board” for the implementation of a project on reviewing and evaluating leaders of police sub-divisions, Police Offices of districts or towns under the direct management of the Municipal Police Party Committee and Directorate and the project on strengthening, and improving the leadership and responsibility of leaders of police of wards and towns, and police stations under the Hanoi Municipal Police.

The two projects are parts of the Hanoi Municipal Police’s key program on force building work in order to improve the quality of the force building work in police units and create a fair, friendly and humanistic working environment in police offices and stations, contributing to better maintaining political security, social order and safety in Hanoi. .

According to reports, the Hanoi Municipal police continued performing well its functions and political tasks in maintaining stability, security and order, protecting political, cultural and social events organized in the capital in the second quarter of 2017.

In fulfilling the given tasks, the entire forces of Hanoi Police have raised the sense of responsibility, strictly followed the order, posture, style and sense of devotedness to the people and successfully fulfilled the assigned tasks.

In addition, the police units of Hanoi have completed well the professional works; various grassroots units have organized education of tradition and gratitude activities celebrating anniversaries of the nation and the force.

In the second quarter of 2017, 233 teams and 1,725 private individuals of the City’s Police were honored and rewarded for their excellent performance in the work.

Leaders of the Hanoi Municipal Police and participants at the meeting agreed that leaders of police units should continuously improve their leadership as well as their virtues, and that leaders of police units with weaknesses and wrongdoings should leave their posts.
