On June 18 in Hanoi, a delegation from the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), led by Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, paid visits to and conveyed congratulations to central press and media agencies, in celebration of the 101st anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 – June 21, 2026).
Members of the delegation included Lieutenant General Do Trieu Phong, Director of the Department of Information and Communications under the Ministry of Public Security; Senior Colonel Mai Xuan Thao, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security; Major General Hoa Quang Tung, Deputy Director of the Department of Internal Political Security, among others.
At the visited press and media agencies, the delegation of the MPS agencies was received by leaders of central media organizations, including Nguyen Thanh Lam, Member of the Party Central Committee, General Director of Vietnam Television (VTV) and Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization; Do Tien Sy, Member of the Party Central Committee, General Director of the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) and Deputy Head of the Commission; and Que Dinh Nguyen, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper.
On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry’s leadership, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung presented congratulatory flower baskets to the media agencies and wished their leaders, journalists and staff good health and continued success. He hoped that they would continue to fulfill their duties with distinction and remain worthy of the trust placed in them by the Party, the State, and the people.
Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung also expressed his gratitude to the press and media agencies for their close cooperation and companionship with the Public Security Forces over the years, highlighting their timely, objective, and vivid coverage of social issues as well as the contributions made by the People's Public Security Forces to the nation and its people.
He emphasized that the press and media with its valuable support has contributed largely to achievements of the People's Public Security Forces.
He expressed his hope that media agencies would continue to stand side by side with the People's Public Security Forces in safeguarding national security, maintaining social order and safety, and ensuring peaceful lives of the people. He also called on the press and media to continue its effort to identify and promote the positive examples and effective role-models of the People's Public Security Forces who wholeheartedly dedicate and courageously sacrifice themselves for national security and the well-being of the people.
Expressing sincere appreciation for the great care and goodwill of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry’s leadership, representatives of the media agencies pledged that they would continue to strengthen and enhance cooperation with the People's Public Security Forces, contributing to the successful fulfillment of the tasks entrusted to them by the Party, the State, and the people
