The report evaluating the work of the entire Public Security Forces in July and key tasks for August 2026 highlighted that under-ministerial public security agencies and local police departments had strictly and resolutely implemented directives from the Central Committee, the Government and the Ministry of Public Security. Through these efforts, the Public Security Forces continued to firmly safeguard national security, maintain social order and safety, and effectively serve the country’s foreign affairs and socio-economic development.

The Ministry of Public Security had excellently performed its main function as a strategic advisor, advising the Central Committee of CPV to issue the Resolution on the National Security Strategy and the Resolution on Building a Disciplined, Safe, Civilized, Harmonious and Developed Society at the Third Plenum of the Central Committee of CPV.

Meanwhile, security in strategic regions was firmly maintained by the Public Security Forces, preventing passive or unexpected developments. All the tasks of protecting internal political security, information and communications security, economic security and cybersecurity recorded positive outcomes.

Under-ministerial public security agencies and local police forces simultaneously launched intense campaigns against illegal gambling and football betting during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, alongside the 2026 peak campaign to attack and suppress human trafficking. The forces proactively detected and effectively combated various types of crime, including intellectual property infringements, high-tech crime, fraudulent property appropriation, drug offenses, environmental crimes, and food safety violations, while dismantling numerous large-scale, organized, transnational criminal syndicates.

In addition, the People’s Public Security Forces (PPSF) promptly deployed a search and rescue task force to assist following the earthquake in Venezuela, sharing in the host country's hardships and elevating the prestige and standing of Viet Nam’s Public Security Forces.

Delivering the concluding remarks, on behalf of the Executive Committee of the Public Security CPV Organization and the Ministry of Public Security, Minister Luong Tam Quang commended and congratulated the entire PPSF on their achievements and results in July 2026.
