Since the beginning of 2026, the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) has closely directed its subordinate agencies and units to implement public investment plans and fund for procurement and equipment while issuing numerous detailed directives to guide project implementation and accelerate capital disbursement.

Thanks to the close and resolute leadership of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the MPS leadership, together with the support of ministries, sectors and local governments, public security units and provincial- and municipal-level police departments have proactively implemented measures to accelerate project implementation and capital disbursement, achieving high disbursement rates and recording significant progress.

Relevant agencies have also strictly complied with regulations and procedures governing project appraisal, administrative formalities and the allocation of public investment capital, thereby shortening procedure times and improving implementation efficiency.

Addressing the conference, Deputy Minister Dang Hong Duc recognized and highly appreciated the high disbursement rates achieved by a number of public security units and local police departments.

Regarding key tasks for the coming period, the Deputy Minister requested heads of public security units and local police departments to uphold their leadership responsibility and resolutely direct the implementation of measures to accelerate project execution, ensuring that the allocated public investment capital for 2026 is fully and effectively disbursed in accordance with the approved plans, objectives and requirements.

Deputy Minister Dang Hong Duc also reviewed issues relating to development investment capital, the National Target Program on Drug Prevention and Control and proposals for additional capital allocations.

He further requested public security units and local police departments to proactively and resolutely implement projects to build headquarters for communal police stations in border areas, while making every effort to complete the disbursement of the 2026 public investment capital plan.
