Hanoi honors 88 excellent graduates of universities

PSNews - The Hanoi People’s Committee on September 6 held a ceremony to honor 88 top graduates from universities and academies.

Especially, four of them were the first in the university entrance exams, and now are also the first in the graduation exams. They are Nguyen Thi Quynh Nga (Hanoi Pedagogical University), Nguyen Bao Lam (University of Transport), Quang Thi Quynh Anh (Hanoi University of Theatre and Cinema) and Nguyen Thi Thuy (Military Science Academy).

There were 55 of the 88 graduates with excellent academic scores (accounting for 62,5%), 33 graduated with “very good” scores.

In a solemn atmosphere, Mr. Vuong Dinh Hue, Politburo's member, Secretary of the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee, and other leaders awarded certificates of merit, logos and gifts to the best graduates of universities and institutes in the city ​​in 2020.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Ngo Van Quy said, Hanoi has identified attraction of talents in the country and from abroad as one of the three breakthroughs in the next five years in order to build the city into a major and examplary center of the country in education, high quality training and an example of international integration.

“The city has a great expectation from the valedictorians and hope that they will always have a correct understanding, a pioneering attitude, a strong determination, an innovative thinking to contribute to the development of the capital city and the country,” Quy added.

This year is the 18th year that Hanoi has honored outstanding graduates. As many as 1,879 graduates have received certificates of merit from the Hanoi People’s Committee. Many of them have succeeded in their careers, contributing to the development of the city and the country.
