Top 10 smart health software awarded

PSNews – The Department of Information Technology under the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Vietnam Association for Information Processing (VAIP) held a ceremony to present awards of the “Smart Health Products 2018”.

With the aim of accelerating IT application into the health sector, the first “Smart Health Products” Contest, launched 6 months ago, attracted 42 entries from 23 health departments, hospitals and IT companies across the country.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Truong Son highly valued the initiative of the Department of Information Technology in organizing this contest. He said that the "Smart Health Products 2018" targeted the best hospital management software, contributing to connecting information within the health sector and managing health information in an effective and transparent way.

The application of IT should bring convenience and comfort to people and doctors in practice while the software should be easy to operate, access and use, said Deputy Minister Nguyen Truong Son.

According to Director of Department of Information Technology Tran Quy Tuong, the contest created a good opportunity for organizations and individuals to introduce intensive solutions to complex issues in the health sector, and through the contest, the health sector could selected a suitable and smart software for actual practices of the hospital system in Vietnam; meanwhile the contest also helped the health authority complete policies and regulations on the standards for health information technology. 

The hospital information management software (HIS) developed by the Smart Health Solutions Joint Stock Company won the 1st prize and received a certificate of merit from the Minister of Health. Two other hospital management softwares programmed by ISOFH Technology Joint Stock Company and VNPT Information and Technology Company won 2nd prizes.

3rd prizes went to Song An Trade and Production Company Limited; Smart Medical Solutions Joint Stock Company and Ha Thang Co., Ltd. The promising prize belonged to Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software of CLAS HEALTHCARE Joint Stock Company.
