Vietnam ICT Summit 2017 brings a hope for Vietnam’s ICT sector

PSNews – The Vietnam ICT Summit 2017 opened on September 6 has introduced a number of solutions and strategies for the development of the IT sector in particular and national modernization in general.

An impressive item at the VNG booth was a “talking mirror” created by VNG. Vietnamese engineers have researched and developed artificial intelligence (AI) for years to produce this intelligent mirror with a face recognizing camera, which is also customizable.

In the future, this item will also integrate more unique features such as voice recognition and control and auto-playing music on request.

VNG has also upgraded QR codes for mobile payment at vending machines. With the technology, customers can buy goods from the vending machine online without cash while the manger can also check the amount of goods in the vending machine from distance.

VNG’s engineers have also applied the IoT solutions to develop other products using cloud computing, for example: Cloud Wifi helping manage a large number of internet connected account from distance, Cloud Camera reducing the storage of images, Cloud Access with its ability of identifying the user self-closing and self-opening doors or gates.

These made-in-Vietnam products have provided an impetus for VNG to continue its projects, including smart home and smart city in the era of “The Internet of Things."

In addition, VNG introduced at the event its DT-VR entertainment apps, bringing the players an interesting experience in a virtual reality with the aid of Google Daydream glasses.

At the Vietnam ICT Summit 2017, VNG and other local firms were expected to give people an insight into the 4

th industrial revolution in Vietnam. For their part, local ICT firms want to make a breakthrough in Vietnam’s ICT sector so as to set up a firm position of Vietnam’s ICT industry in the world as well as to effectively support other domestic industries.
