Youth Union announces recipients of outstanding young faces awards

The Hanoi Communist Youth Union has announced a total of 10 individuals that have claimed the title of the “ten most outstanding young faces of 2019”.

The recipients of this year’s awards include weightlifter Vuong Thi Huyen, teacher Bui Phuong Thao from the Hanoi University of Pharmacy, and student Bui Hong Duc of the High School for Gifted Students, Hanoi University of Science, Vietnam National University.

The trio are joined by Ha Viet Hoang from the Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Dr Bui Hung Thang of the Institute of Materials Sciences, Pham Kim Hung, CEO of TechElite and Base Inc., Duong Danh Dat, deputy head of the Police Office in Ly Thai To ward in Hoan Kiem district, Le Trang Linh from the Vietnam National Academy of Music, Hoang Hoa Trung, and Le Huong Giang of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Each of the young people being given the award are being recognized for their outstanding achievements in their respective fields.

Of the 10 people, student Le Trang Linh of the Vietnam National Academy of Music is the youngest at just 13 years old. During her short career she has won four international music competitions, including the Val Tidone International Music Competition and the “Pietro Argento" International Music Competition.

The awards are presented annually by the Hanoi Communist Youth Union and are held with the aim of honouring outstanding young individuals whilst encouraging others to strive to achieve milestones in the fields of academics, labour, and volunteering activities.
