4,000 people join anti-terror drill in HCMC

PSNews – The Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) authority on December 15 held the 2019 real-force insecure setuation and anti-terror drill in the locality.

The drill saw the presence of Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan, Politburo’s member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Municipal Party’s Committee; and representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City Municipal People’s Committee, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of National Defense, along with leaders of the neighboring provinces of Binh Duong, Long An and Dong Nai.

The drill, which drew the participation of 4,000 people, aimed at evaluating local forces’ ability to address various complicated security and order situations that may happen in the reality. It also aimed at checking the coordination among functional forces in responding to emergency situations.

The assumed scenario was: A number of local reactionaries who had been backed and induced by hostile forces from other countries caused social disturbances in the city.

Under the direction of the HCMC People’s Committee, the Ministry of Public Security, and the Ministry of National Defense, the Ho Chi Minh Municipal Police Department in coordination with other forces in the locality promptly deployed personnel and vehicles to the places. They took appropriate measures and quickly dismissed rioting groups. With their great effort and good solution, they successfully restored peace to the city.
