Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung offers incense to fallen heroes

Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, led a Ministry of Public Security delegation to offer incense in tribute to fallen heroes in Quang Tri Province.

On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of Wounded Soldiers and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2026), Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, led a Ministry of Public Security delegation to offer incense in tribute to fallen heroes in Quang Tri Province, and present gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and policy beneficiary families in the locality, on July 25.

Joining the delegation were representatives from the Ministry Office, the Department of Organization and Personnel, the Department of Political Affairs, the People's Public Security Communications Department, leaders of the Police Departments of Da Nang, Hue, Ha Tinh, Nghe An and Quang Tri.

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung presents gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Dang Thi Thi (aged 106), Vietnamese Heroic Mother Tran Thi Lien (aged 96), representatives of the families of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Then and Vietnamese Heroic Mother Ngo Thi Mung, as well as Le Thi Van, a former public security officer in Quang Tri and the widow of People's Public Security fallen officer Nguyen Cao Tien.

During the gratitude-repaying journey to the heroic land of Quang Tri, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung and the delegation respectfully offered flowers and incense to fallen heroes at the Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery, the Road 9 National Martyrs' Cemetery, the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel Special National Relic Site, and held a flower-floating ceremony on the Thach Han River.

Before the heroic spirits, every member of the delegation pledged to uphold the proud traditions of the People’s Public Security Forces: Being loyal to the Party, the country and the people, stand united to overcome all challenges and difficulties, and excellently fulfill their missions of protecting national security and ensuring public order and safety worthy of the sacrifices of the previous revolutionary generations.

As part of the programme, the delegation visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and policy beneficiary families in difficult circumstances in Quang Tri Province.

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung extended his warm regards and expressed deep appreciation for the sacrifices and contributions made by Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and the families with meritorious service to the nation.

He presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Dang Thi Thi (aged 106), Vietnamese Heroic Mother Tran Thi Lien (aged 96), representatives of the families of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Then and Vietnamese Heroic Mother Ngo Thi Mung, as well as Le Thi Van, a former public security officer in Quang Tri and the widow of People's Public Security fallen officer Nguyen Cao Tien.

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung said such a program reflects the national traditions: “When drinking water, remember its source” and “Returning gratitude to revolutionary contributors.”

It also demonstrates the People's Public Security Forces’ great gratitude to all revolutionary contributors, war veterans, sick and wounded soldiers, martyrs and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, who have made dedication and sacrifices for the country's independence and development.
