“Being Kind to the Environment” is one of a number of activities in response to World Kindness Day, and within the overall campaign the “Dance for Kindness” held on Sunday in Hanoi and many other cities across the country helped to spread the campaign’s message of kindness.

In addition to encouraging kindness among people in general, the campaign focuses on the environmental theme with practical activities to connect young people and raise public awareness of protecting land, water, air and all things belonging to the natural world.

Through the programme, the organising board expressed its wish that young people and the community would be more aware of their roles and responsibilities in protecting the environment and working together to build a green, clean and beautiful country. “Let’s Love and Protect the Environment” and “Let’s Try to Be Kind to the Environment” were the main themes.

As one of the first senior officials to keep a close watch on the activities of the campaign, Deputy PM Dam expressed his wish that the youth would become more interested in acts of kindness and multiply them in the community.

According to him, activities on protecting the environment should be held regularly in order to form a good habit among the youth.

He suggested that each student encourage his family members to regularly classify waste and form a habit of environmental protection.
