National tourist attraction to promote in Mai Chau - Hoa Binh

As said in the announcement ceremony of Hoa Binh authority to widespread the policies and orientations, objectives, tasks and solutions in developing Mai Chau planning. 

On October 8th in Mai Chau - Hoa Binh, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hoa Binh Province and the People's Committee of Mai Chau District held the announcement ceremony to develop national tourist attraction in Mai Chau - Hoa Binh to 2030.

Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Chairman of Hoa Binh People's Committee said: the ceremony means to widespread the policies and orientations, objectives, tasks and solutions in developing Mai Chau planning. This will be the legal basis for managing and facilitating investors to research and seek for investment cooperation to exploit effectively Mai Chau resources, contribute to the development of tourism in North West regions.

In the ceremony, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Peace has organized several practical activities such as highlands fair with more than 30 local booths to introduce Mai Chau traditional products, portray the potential of Mai Chau tourism development.

Accordingly, in 2020 Mai Chau will welcome about 530 thousand visitors including 163 thousand international tourists. In 2030 Mai Chau will recieve about 1.1 million visitors including about 400 thousand international tourists, reach 8% growth rate by 2920-2030. Expanding Mai Chau tourism will create jobs for about 3,000 workers in 2020; 4,800 employees in 2025. Total income from tourism in 2020 will reach 220 billion VND ; 570 billion VND by 2020; 1,340 billion VND by 2030.

In 2015 , Mai Chau has welcomed 340,000 tourists including nearly 90,000 international visitors.
