The Standing Committee of the Public Security Central Party Committee, in coordination with the Politburo’s Inspection Group No. 26, held a conference to announce the Politburo and Secretariat’s decision on the second-round 2026 inspection and supervision of the Public Security Central Party Committee, on the afternoon of April 22 in Hanoi.

The head of Politburo’s Inspection Group No. 26 was Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission Nguyen Thanh Nghi while the two deputies were Deputy head of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission Nguyen Duc Hien, and member of the Central Inspection Commission Dao The Hoang.

Deputy Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung chaired the meeting, which were also attended by deputy ministers of Public Security, namely Senior Lieutenant General Le Van Tuyen, Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Lam, and Lieutenant General Dang Hong Duc.

Speaking at the event, Head of the Politburo’s Inspection Group No. 26 Nguyen Thanh Nghi stated that the inspection would focus on four key areas: The organization and operation of local-level police units of the two-tier local government model; Measures to help enable average GDP growth of at least 10% in the period 2026–2030; Implementation of Resolution No. 57 on science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation; Reviewing, evaluating and classifying Party organizations, Party members and officials holding key positions in public security agencies and units.

He required the Standing Committee of Public Security Central Party Committee to coordinate closely with the inspection group, provide documents and reports on request, and assign a team to work with the inspection group. The delegation will work with selected subordinate units in a serious, scientific manner, ensuring compliance, quality, and efficiency without disrupting regular duties.

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung emphasized that the four areas to be inspected are all important, contributing to achieving the Party’s strategic goals. Therefore, the Public Security Central Party Committee has led all Party organizations in the Public Security Forces to taken the lead in implementing them.

In fact, the Ministry of Public Security started piloting a three-tier model with a two-tier local-level police system early from March 1, 2025. The move of the Ministry of Public Security proved to be effective after the piloting time, and then became a great practical reference for Central agencies, ministries, localities and the entire political system as a whole to follow in building the three-layer government system.

The Ministry of Public Security has also reported to the Politburo on the strategic tasks and solutions that the Public Security Forces would do in the coming time in order to make a positive contribution to achieving double-digit growth for 2026–2030 and sustaining rapid, stable growth through 2045.

Regarding Resolution No. 57, the Public Security Central Party Committee advised the higher-level authorities to issue 64 important documents (including laws, decrees, and prime ministerial decisions), while actively serving as the standing body of the Government’s Steering Committee on science, technology, innovation and digital transformation.

The Public Security Central Party Committee also issued action plans and directives guiding its subordinate Party committees to implement Politburo Regulation No. 366, with an aim to resolutely renovating leadership and management methods across the Public Security Forces.

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung finally showed absolute consensus on the inspection plan and schedule, and pledged close coordination, timely provision of documents, and thorough preparation for inspection.
