Assistant Minister Lyu Wuqin was on a visit to Viet Nam to attend the art exchange program between the Ministry of Public Security of Viet Nam and the Ministry of Public Security of China in celebration of the 81st anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnamese People’s Public Security Forces (August 19, 1945–August 19, 2026).
Minister Luong Tam Quang warmly welcomed Assistant Minister Lyu Wuqin and highly appreciated the Chinese Ministry of Public Security for sending a ministry-level delegation and an art troupe to Viet Nam to jointly organize the exchange program. The Minister affirmed that the art program was a particularly important political event aimed at effectively and substantively realizing the common perceptions reached by the top leaders of the two Parties and two countries, thereby contributing to strengthening the friendship and close bond between the two countries’ Public Security Forces.
Reviewing relations between the two Parties and nations over recent times, Minister Luong Tam Quang expressed his pleasure at the substantive cooperative results achieved across various fields, especially following the State visit to China by General Secretary and President To Lam in April 2026.
Based on the important common perceptions between high-level leaders of the two Parties and countries, the Ministry of Public Security of Viet Nam and the Ministry of Public Security of China successfully organized the 9th Ministerial Conference on Crime Prevention and Control and the Conference on VIP Protection; established a direct hotline mechanism between the two Ministers; enhanced effective prevention and control of transnational crime; and launched joint intensive campaigns against crime and illegal exit and entry, as well as cooperation in personnel training and non-refundable aid.
Assistant Minister Lyu Wuqin expressed his sincere thanks to Minister Luong Tam Quang for taking the time to receive the delegation. On behalf of the delegation, he conveyed warm regards and congratulations from Member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Public Security of China Wang Xiaohong to the Ministry of Public Security of Viet Nam on the 81st anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People’s Public Security Forces of Viet Nam
He expressed his desire that relations between the two ministries continue to develop positively and substantively on the basis of strategic orientations established by high-level leaders of the two Parties and countries, particularly in safeguarding security, law enforcement, and combating transnational crime.
On this occasion, Assistant Minister Lyu Wuqin presented a congratulatory letter from Minister Wang Xiaohong to the Ministry of Public Security of Viet Nam on the 81st anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People’s Public Security Forces of Viet Nam.
