The World Memory Championship 2023 took place on November 24-26 in Mumbai, India, attracting over 780 contestants from 13 countries worldwide.
The Vietnamese team included two Vietnam record holders who are Dang Thu Hien, 25, and Dang Ngoc Phuong Trinh, 23. They are sibling who come from Di Linh District, Lam Dong Province.
At the competition, Dang Ngoc Phuong Trinh has excellently won a gold medal for the catogery of abstract images with 618 images in 5 minutes.
The previous record belonged to the French player with 547 abstracts images in 5 minutes.
Trinh shared that, in order to win the gold medal, she has been practicing for 3 years, as she knew that the competition gathered many experienced players from Germany or Mongolia.
“Vietnam is a latecomer in the field of memory competition, so it was a miracle and luck to me to win against experienced players," said Trinh.
