In recent years, the traditional friendship and ties between Vietnam and the Philippines have continually strengthened and expanded in both bilateral and multilateral frameworks, bringing tangible benefits to the peoples of the two countries while contributing positively to peace, stability, and shared prosperity in the region and around the world.

To further deepen the two countries’ Extensive Strategic Partnership, the two sides agreed to intensify delegation exchanges and establish new security cooperation mechanisms in areas of mutual interest. These include collaboration in responding to non-traditional security threats, coordination to ensure the highest level of security and safety for high-level visits, and safeguarding the security of diplomatic missions in each country.

The two sides also agreed to facilitate favorable conditions for their citizens to live, study, work and travel legally in each other’s country, while absolutely deany individual or organization from using the territory of one country to conduct activities against the other.

The meeting reflected the shared commitment of Vietnam and the Philippines to strengthening security cooperation and enhancing mutual trust as part of their efforts to further advance bilateral relations and contribute to regional peace and stability.
