VNFPU1 upgraded to PCRS Level 3

The Ministry of Public Security, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training, hosted the closing and award ceremony for the 2026 “Peaceful Homeland” Video Creation Contest, on the evening of November 3 in Ha Noi.

Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang and India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval agreed to strengthen the exchange of strategic information, promote cooperation in cybersecurity, human resource development, and the prevention and combat of transnational crime, thereby contributing to deepening the bilateral relationship between the two countries.

Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Doan and Captain Tran My Linh quickly adapted to the working conditions and environment, closely cooperating with international colleagues. They demonstrated outstanding qualities, capabilities and professional expertise, thereby earning high praise from the leadership and command of the Mission’s Police Force as well as the host country. PSNews - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Le Van Tuyen chaired a working session, on the afternoon of October 29, 2026, with Hoang Tien Prison under the Department for Management of Prisons, Compulsory Education Facilities and Reform Schools in Hai Phong city, to review operational performance and inspect the construction progress of the pilot smart prison project at Sub-camp No. 4 of Hoang Tien Prison.

After six days of vibrant and creatively charged activities, the 15th People's Public Security Television, Radio, and Film Festival officially concluded on the evening of October 27 at the Ho Guom Theater in Ha Noi, with a closing ceremony themed “Glory of the Media Warriors.”

Speaking at the rehearsal, Senior Colonel Hoang Ngoc Huynh, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Fire and Rescue Police Department, said the event will provide an opportunity to exchange experience with international counterparts, improve professional expertise and training quality, and enhance the operational readiness of Vietnam’s firefighting and rescue forces.

Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc highly praised and commended the Ministry of Public Security's standing committee for proactively advising, organizing, guiding, urging, and setting an example in carrying out challenging and unprecedented tasks. He also acknowledged the efforts of other ministries, sectors, and localities in implementing Resolution No. 147 over the past year.

The Ministry of Public Security hopes that the World Economic Forum (WEF) will continue to strengthen partnerships, facilitate knowledge and experience sharing, promote policy dialogue, and support professional cooperation in science, technology and innovation, thereby contributing to the achievement of Viet Nam’s development goals.

After one year of implementing Government Resolution 147, efforts to prevent and respond to non-traditional security threats have achieved several important initial results. These include unifying and raising awareness across the entire political system and the public, improving the legal framework, and issuing standard scenarios and specific response plans.

Deputy Minister Dang Hong Duc urged local police units and under-ministerial public security agencies to immediately remove any outstanding obstacles, and ensure the full disbursement of the capital for approved projects by December 15.

Officers from the police stations of Quang Nguyen commune and Thang Mo commune in Tuyen Quang province, in coordination with relevant authorities, on October 23 and 25, rescued two local residents in two different cases, of whom one had been seriously injured in the forest.

The Criminal Police Department under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), in coordination with the Department of Students and Pupils Affairs (Ministry of Education and Training), Vinh Long Provincial Police, and the Vinh Long Department of Education and Training, organized a legal knowledge and crime prevention program at Nguyen Hieu Tu High School, Ben Tre Secondary School, and Tieu Can Secondary School, from October 26 to 28.

Enhancing command capabilities of officers, standardizing the teaching staff, and expanding training cooperation are key topics discussed by the Ministry of Public Security of Viet Nam with the Center of Excellence for Stability Police Units (CoESPU), under the Italian Carabinieri, to meet the requirements for participating in United Nations peacekeeping operations.

The incident occurred at around 5.45am in Hon Bo mountain area of Lam Vien–Da Lat ward, when the woman, identified by her initials G.S.W., was hiking in the area and fell into a hole, said to be part of an abandoned mining site, about 70cm in diametre.

According to Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung, imposing harsher penalties does not necessarily translate into lower crime rates. Rather than pursuing increasingly severe punishments, the amended Penal Code seeks to address the underlying causes of crime and promote more effective prevention and enforcement measures, ultimately fostering a safer, more harmonious society.
