Vsmart officially launched in Myanmar

PSNews - VinSmart under VinGroup on May 29 officially launched the Vsmart brand and products in Myanmar. As reported, the distribution partner for Vsmart phones in Myanmar is Strong Source Group.

VinSmart announced that its products will be sold in nearly 1,500 stores of the leading multidisciplinary consumer and business electronics retailer in Myanmar. With the appearance in this market, VinSmart is on its way to conquer the international market as well as to swing for its ambition to boost the Vietnamese brand throughout the globe.

With the co-operation with Strong Source Group, Mytel (Viettel) and Shop.com.mm (Alibaba), in the first phase, Vsmart will distribute 4 smartphone models in Myanmar including Joy1, Joy1+, Active 1 và Active 1+.

Currently, Active 1+ is the most advanced Vsmart model with three diffirent colours: emerald green, black, and rose gold. Active 1+ has a metal frame, glass back, and "rabbit ears" screen, and is equipped with a SnapDragon 660 chip with 6GB of RAM.

The camera has a selfie camera and dual-screen camera that achieves high image quality even in low light conditions. The glass screen is the highlight of the design of Active 1+. It is a very sturdy phone with perfectly designed curves.

Joy 1+ comes with plastic glass, "rabbit ear" screen, Snapdragon 430, 3GB RAM. In particular, Joy 1+ has 4000mAh battery capacity – the longest battery life in the series. Joy1 + is available in cobalt blue and black.

To conquer customers as well as compete with other brands in Myanmar and international markets, Vsmart products has passed nearly 2,500 standard tests (including hardware tests, mechanical tests and software tests) at the laboratory of BQ (Spain) and Vsmart factory. In addition, they were also tested in the laboratories of Qualcomm, the world's best performing semiconductor chip provider.

Soe Naing, chairman of Strong Source Group, said: “We are proud to be a partner to exclusively distribute the Vsmart brand in Myanmar. With our rich experience in electronics consumption, Strong Source believes that we can stand side by side with Vsmart to become customers' choice.”

Nguyen Thi Bich Phuong, deputy general director of VinSmart, said: “Myanmar is a potential market with a strong growth rate of consumer technology products in recent years. Therefore, many other phone brands have also quickly entered the fierce competition.

However, we believe that with our technology foundation, human resources, and especially the support of major distribution partners such as Strong Source, Mytel, and Shop.com.mm, Vsmart will succeed in Myanmar. ”

On March 20, Vsmart also made the first step into the European market through distributor MediaMarkt Company. By establishing presence in Myanmar, Vingroup continues to affirm its global vision and ability to become a world-class technology group in the next 10 years. In 2019, Vsmart will continue to expand to the markets of India, Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia.

Vingroup has been continuously expanding to international markets. Specifically, in July 2018, VinFast opened an office in Frankfurt, Germany. In early March 2019, Vingroup announced the construction of a global VinTech network with its first headquarters in Daegu, South Korea.
