Digital Vietnamese knowledge system launched

PSNews - The project "Digital Vietnamese knowledge system" was launched on the occasion of the New Year to spread the message "Each idea, each typing is for the community." The project’s aims at "Sharing Knowledge - Promoting Creativity - Connecting the Community - For the Future of Vietnam."

The project "Digital Vietnamese knowledge system" was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision 677/QD-TTg on May 18, 2017. A website at https://itrithuc.vn/ has been set up, promising a comprehensive ecological system for all people, especially Vietnamese youths, to develop advanced technologies on the basis of big data, Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence.

This project is especially important in the context of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution with its tremendous  impacts on all fields from science, education, transportation, finance, manufacturing, healthcare, etc. The system will also create many opportunities as well as challenges for Vietnam's startup and renovation movements.

At the launching ceremony on January 1st, representatives of ministries, government agencies, cities, provinces, businesses and individuals committed themselves to contributing to the project. After more than one week since the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s Central Committee launched a campaign encouraging students to collaborate in the project, there are nearly 2.5 million queries submitted to the system.

In the future, the data from government agencies, ministries and branches will be updated in the open database of the project. In order to ensure stable operation, the Digital Vietnamese knowledge system will gradually complete the infrastructure facilitating the participation of start-ups.

Currently, Viettel, MobiFone and Vinaphone networks have provided the free number 1001 for people to ask and to get answers from the system.
