At meeting, H.E. Neth Savoeun highly appreciated the official visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia by Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and the Vietnamese delegation.
He expressed his delight at the development of bilateral relations across all fields. On this basis, the cooperation between the two ministries has become increasingly substantive and effective, particularly in crime prevention and combat.
H.E. Neth Savoeun expressed his hope that the two sides will promote cooperation in combating various types of crimes, especially transnational and drug-related crimes, in the coming time.
On behalf of the delegation from the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security, General Luong Tam Quang sincerely thanked H.E. Neth Savoeun for taking the time to receive him.
He emphasized that the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security supports and highly values the Cambodian side’s efforts to fight transnational crime. He expressed his belief that, with the determination of the Cambodian Government, Cambodia will achieve even greater success in combating this type of crime in the future.
Regarding the cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Cambodian Ministry of Interior, the leaders of the two ministries regularly meet to exchange information and situational updates.
They promptly coordinate and direct the resolution of difficulties and obstacles in their cooperative relations. This makes an important contribution to ensuring national security, maintaining social order and safety, and actively serving the socio-economic development of each country.
To ensure that the cooperative relations in security and law enforcement between the two sides becomes increasingly substantive and effective, both sides agreed at the meeting to expand cooperation in combating transnational crime, especially drug-related crimes, and to enhance information exchange, experience sharing, and training between the law enforcement forces of the two countries.
