MPS commences housing project for public security officers in Nghe An

On May 21, the Ministry of Public Security, in coordination with Nghe An Province and relevant units, held a groundbreaking ceremony for a housing project for People's Public Security forces in Vinh Phu Ward, Nghe An Province.

The ceremony was attended by Lieutenant General Dang Hong Duc, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, along with leaders of units under the Ministry of Public Security and Nghe An Province.

The project covers 1.53 hectares and includes two buildings with one basement and 14 floors, providing 392 apartments. It is the first social housing project for police officers and soldiers in the province, aiming to help address housing difficulties, especially for young officers.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Dang Hong Duc emphasized that the project reflects the Party, State, and Ministry of Public Security’s concern for improving the living conditions of officers and soldiers. He described the project as an important political and humanitarian initiative, while also highlighting the Ministry’s leading role in implementing social housing policies.

The Deputy Minister requested investors and contractors to ensure construction quality, progress, labor safety, fire prevention, and environmental protection. He also urged relevant agencies to coordinate closely in resolving difficulties and to guarantee transparency and fairness in housing allocation.

Vice Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial People’s Committee Hoang Phu Hien stated that the project is in line with both national social housing policies and the province’s development orientation. Nghe An Province pledged to continue supporting the project to ensure it is completed on schedule and in compliance with legal regulations.

Major General Dinh Viet Dung, Director of Nghe An Provincial Police, expressed appreciation for the support and coordination from the Ministry of Public Security, provincial authorities, relevant agencies, and local residents. He affirmed that Nghe An Provincial Police would work closely with related units to ensure the project is implemented effectively, transparently, and on schedule.
