The Department of Construction Management and Barracks under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a conference to review four years (2022–2025) of implementing the project to establish the MPS Construction Consulting Center.
Lieutenant General Dang Hong Duc, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, attended and delivered remarks.
At the event Major General Ha Van Tuyen, Director of the Department of Construction Management and Barracks, said the center was established under a project issued in June 2021. In November 2021, the Minister of Public Security officially defined its functions, tasks and organizational structure.
The center provides public services and consultancy in construction investment projects, including projects involving security requirements within and outside the People's Public Security Force. In December 2024, its responsibilities were expanded to include developing standard and model designs for construction projects in the force.
After more than four years of operation, the center has completed its organizational structure, participated in major construction projects, developed model designs, and provided consultancy services for numerous projects across the public security sector.
Addressing the conference, Deputy Minister Dang Hong Duc acknowledged the center’s achievements and urged it to continue reform and innovation to meet future development demands.
He emphasized the need for the center to accurately assess its strengths and competitiveness, develop appropriate growth strategies, improve operational efficiency, and increase revenue and employee income.
The Deputy Minister also called for greater investment in human resource development, including personnel restructuring, professional training and the building of a highly qualified workforce.
He encouraged the center to foster innovation, unlock internal resources, attract and retain talented professionals, and strengthen accountability through clear assignments and measurable results.
In addition, the center was urged to proactively seek new contracts, expand its market, improve governance and enhance its capacity for self-reliance. Deputy Minister Dang Hong Duc also highlighted the importance of brand building and cooperation with leading consultancy firms to gain experience, expand beyond the public security sector and improve competitiveness in the broader market.
