“All people protecting National security” movement reviewed in Phu Yen

PSNews – The Phu Yen Provincial People Committee on March 28 held a conference to review the province’s implementation of the “All people protecting National security” movement in 2017 and to roll out task for 2018.

Chairman of the Phu Yen Provincial People Committee Hoang Van Tra, who is also the head of the Provincial Steering Committee of the “All people protecting National security” movement emphasized that the implementation of the movement in Phu Yen in 2017 achieved various positive results as the local police force, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; veterans association, women and youth organizations coordinated closely with one another in carrying out effectively the province’s action plan and building many effective models.

During the last year, citizens of the province provided 1,284 valuable pieces of information, assisting the police force to handle many law violations at the grassroots level, contributing to reducing the number of crimes on social order by 22.5%.

Meanwhile, the police force successfully investigated 82% of the criminal cases, used 99% of people’s reports on crimes, arrested and mobilized 57 wanted fugitives to surrender themselves at police stations; eliminated 3 gangs specializing in illegal debt collection, 38 gangs of thieves, 5 prostitution places.

At the conference, delegates focused their discussion on various measures to fulfill major tasks as well as on solutions to increase the effectiveness of the implementation of the “All people protecting National security” movement in 2018.

On the occasion, the Ministry of Public Security and the Phu Yen Provincial People Committee presented awards and titles to individuals and groups with outstanding achievements in the implementation of the “All people protecting National security”.
