75th National Conference of PSF concludes

Addressing his remark at the closing ceremony of the 75th National Public Security Conference on December 26, Minister of Public Security To Lam emphasized that the Public Security Forces (PSF) have enough willpower, ability and strength to successfully complete all missions.

Although facing various difficulties and challenges from both inside and outside the country in 2019, the PSF have excellently accomplished their assigned missions.

During the year, the PSF closely followed and implemented all policies of the Party and State on ensuring security and order and actively advised and coordinated with relevant agencies and forces to successfully safeguard national security, maintained social order and safety in localities of the country while paying attention to further building the PSF as a revolutionary strong, elite and gradually modernized force.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee, Minister To Lam applauded the achievements and feats of arms by all public security agencies and units and the whole PSF in 2019. He also emphasized that after 30 years implementing the Platform on National Construction, the PSF have achieved great results; as a result, all public security officers and soldiers have had positive changes in their thinking and action in making contributions to the national development and defense cause in accordance with their positions and duties.

Regarding the orientations for the forces’ missions in 2020, Minister To Lam asked all public security agencies and units to thoroughly comprehend and successfully implement all resolutions from the Public Security Central Party Committee, instructions from leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, as well as directions from General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

Minister To Lam also urged all local police units to take social and professional preventive measures, mobilize the comprehensive strength of the whole political system, all agencies and organizations and people from all walks of life to prevent and combat crimes. Minister Lam also asked all police forces to focus on preventing and fighting drug-related crimes, prevent drug traffickers from turning Vietnam into a drug transit country.

Further, Minister To Lam urged all police units to carry out intensive campaigns against crimes, ensure traffic order and safety while enhancing fire prevention measures, during the Traditional New Year (Tet) and the spring festive season 2020.
