Central Highlands public security forces urged to focus in fighting all kind of crimes

PSNews - The Police General Department under the Ministry of Public Security on October 30 held a conference to review the implementation of the campaign against crimes in the Central Highlands with the attendance of Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security.

The event also saw the participation of the Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee’s Secretary and Chairman of the Dak Nong Provincial People Council Le Dien; Deputy Chairman of the Dak Nong Provincial People’s Committee Cao Huy; leaders of functional agencies of the Police General Department; and representatives from the Central Highlands public security forces and Central Highlands Steering Committee.

According to reports at the event, during the peak operation against crimes, the police forces in the Central Highlands provinces actively advised the local authorities on directing their subordinate agencies, units, organizations and people to participate in the fight against all kinds of crimes.

The forces also deployed many drastic professional measures, and achieved positive changes in the police work.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing the remaining issues and limitations in the implementation of the campaign and proposed ideas on organizing campaigns against crimes in the Central Highlands.

Speaking at the conference, Minister To Lam recognized and praised the results achieved by the police forces in the Central Highlands during the campaign to ensure security and order in the area.

To further promote these results, Minister To Lam asked the police forces in the Central Highlands provinces to proactively follow the situation, and reasonably mobilize their means and efforts to ensure order and security in each area, avoiding any unexpected eventualities.

He also asked all local police units to further cooperate with other forces and local authorities in implementing plans and measures to ensure security and absolute safety for major political and social events of the country in the region.

At the same time, they should continue well performing their function of advising the Party Committees and local administrations on mobilizing the entire political system and comprehensive power to prevent and fight crimes.

Meanwhile, all Central Highlands public security forces were urged to focus on the fight against organized crimes related to deforestation; illegal storage and use of weapons and explosive materials; murder and violence cases; and child abuses. They should continue effectively coordinating with other forces to prevent and fight drug crimes along Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia borderlines, and crack down on organized gangs and trans-border drug dealing rings.

In conclusion, Minister To Lam asked the Central Highlands public security forces to enhance Party building and force building.
