Charmvit Corporation grants scholarships to children of public security invalids and martyrs

PSNews - Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security on October 21 held a ceremony to hand over scholarships offered by Charmvit Corporation to children of public security invalids and martyrs.

This is the 11th consecutive year that the Charmvit Corporation has presented scholarships, meaningful humane gifts to children of injured and fallen public security officers through the People’s Public Security Forces’ Comradeship Fund.

The event saw the participation of Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Major General Nguyen Quang Chu, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the People’s Public Security Forces; leaders of agencies of the Ministry of Public Security.

Representatives of the Republic of Korea were Mr. Lee Dae Bong - Chairman of Charmvit Corporation; Mr. Go Sang Gu, President of the Koreans’ Association in Hanoi; representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam; representatives of Korea Trade Association in Vietnam, Korea Association of Small and Medium Enterprises.

The scholarships, which were in fact offered by the Korean corporation from the beginning of 2017, are worth some 1 billion VND. The company’s support for needy Vietnamese children in general and those of injured and fallen public security officers in particular has been making a great contribution to multifaceted cooperation ties between the two nations as well as between Charmvit and the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam.

Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Van Thanh expressed his sincere thanks to the Korean corporation and the Director of Charmvit for their meaningful and practical assistance for the families of Vietnamese injured or fallen public security officers who had dedicated their blood for peace and happiness of the people.

He said that leadership of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam was very happy with the great development of Charmvit Corporation over the past time.

Deputy Minister Thanh affirmed that the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam will do its best to create a favorable environment for foreign corporations and enterprises, including South Korean ones, to invest and do business in Vietnam.

He wished that Charmvit Corporation would further develop, especially in the potential market of Vietnam, and hoped that the relationship between the two countries as well as cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and South Korean partners will continue growing.
