Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam participates in DSA 16& NATSEC Asia 2018

PSNews - On the sidelines, on April 17, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam held talks with Deputy Minister of Home Affairs of Malaysia Datuk NurJazlan bin Mohamed. 

At the invitation of  Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs of Malaysia Ahmad Zahid bin Hamidi, from April 15 to 18, Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Deputy Minister of Public Security led a delegation to participate in the National Security Asia 2018 (NATSEC Asia 2018) and the 16th Defence Services Asia Exhibition and Conference (DSA 16), in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The NATSEC Asia 2018 and DSA 16 held every two years by the Malaysian Government are considered a large scale and prestigious event in the security and defence sector.

This year’s editions of NATSEC Asia and DSA drew the participation of over 150 international police, security and defense forces delegations of 63 countries.

The main meetings of DSA 16 included Putrajaya Forum 2018; the Role of the Army in Sustaining Security Against the Threat of Radicalism and Terrorism; Cyber Security & Defence Seminar; Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Explosive; Drones Forum; Empowering Women in Defence& Security Forum

On the sidelines, on April 17, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam held talks with Deputy Minister of Home Affairs of Malaysia Datuk NurJazlan bin Mohamed.

At the meeting, the two sides reviewed the outcomes of the bilateral cooperation over the past as well as drew up new orientations for the future cooperation. 

In particular, the two leaders of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Ministry of Home Affairs of Malaysia agreed to organize the first meeting of the Joint Working Group as soon as possible to implement the agreement between the two governments on transnational crime prevention signed in 2015.

Additionally, the two sides also vowed to negotiate agreements on transfer of sentenced persons, human trafficking prevention, criminal extradition, so as to contribute to concertizing the strategic partnership between the two countries.
