Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung checks task performance of Hung Yen and Thai Binh police

Major General Le Quoc Hung, Deputy Minister of Public Security, leading a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on November 25 worked with the police departments of Hung Yen province and Thai Binh province.

Reports delivered at the meetings between the MPS delegation and the leaders of local police forces read, the police forces of Thai Binh and Hung Yen provinces have protected absolute safety for congresses of Party organizations at all levels as well as key projects and important political events held in the provinces.

The police forces of the two provinces have also effectively launched intensive campaigns to attack crimes under the direction of the MPS.

During the year, the Hung Yen and Thai Binh provincial police also advised the People's Committees of the provinces to develop appropriate anti-terrorism programs and directed the provincial mobile police units to train their officers and soldiers and conduct drills in response to any possible terrorist scenarios.

The police forces of the two provinces have promoted information dissemination to raise the agencies, businesses, and residents’ awareness of ensuring fire safety while regularly inspecting fire safety at the grassroots levels to prevent fire and explosions.

The two provincial police departments have strictly followed the regulations on the management of detainees and those serving their sentences in the local detention centers, so no prison escapes have happened.

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung asked the police forces of Hung Yen and Thai Binh provinces to grasp the local security situations and take drastic measures to fight sabotage activities by reactionary and hostile forces, and attack crimes of all kinds.

The provincial police should also ensure traffic order and fire safety as well as safeguard political, economic and social events, especially during the Lunar New Year festival as well as activities towards the 13th National Party Congress, the election of National Assembly deputies and People's Councils at all levels.

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung requested the Provincial Party Committees, People's Councils, and People's Committees of Thai Binh and Hung Yen provinces to create more favorable conditions for the police forces of the two provinces to complete their assigned task.
