Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung inspects the task performance of Lao Cai Police

Major General Le Quoc Hung, Deputy Minister of Public Security, on June 9 had a meeting with the Lao Cai Provincial Police Department to review the local police forces’ task performance over the past time.

At the meeting, Senior Colonel Hong Quang, Director of the Lao Cai Provincial Police Department briefed the deputy minister and delegates on the results of ensuring local security and social order.

Since the beginning of the year, the provincial police have strictly followed instructions of the Ministry of Public Security on ensuring security and social order, thoroughly  grasped the local situation and actively dealt with security issues arising in the locality.

The Lao Cai police have effectively curbed the number of crimes of all types, including social order violations, economic crime, and drug-related crime. They have also successfully investigated a high rate of criminal cases and solved all serious or extremely serious cases over the past time.

Meanwhile, the preparations for the upcoming Party Congress of the provincial police in the 2020 – 2025 term are carefully made while the lists of candidates for the Party committees of all local police units in the next term have been made in line with the Party regulations.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung praised the results achieved by the Lao Cai Provincial Police Department in ensuring political security, social order and safety in the first half of 2020 as well as the good preparation for its Party Congress in the 2020 – 2025 term.

Deputy Minister Hung suggested that the committee for the organization of the Party Congress of the Lao Cai Provincial Police Department should seriously take into account the regulations issued by the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee.

* Previously, the Deputy Minister and his delegation visited and presented gifts to officers and soldiers of the Mobile Police Battalion No.4 under the Northwest Mobile Police Regiment, the Mobile Police Command.
