Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung works with Soc Trang provincial police and Kenh 5 Prison

At the meeting, the leadership of the Soc Trang Provincial Police Department briefed Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung and other delegates on the local police forces’ working results in the first half of 2020. 

Since the beginning of the year, the local police forces have also implemented plans to ensure local security and social order, safeguard Party congresses of local civilian agencies and organizations at all levels while actively preparing for the 7th Soc Trang Provincial Police Party Congress in the tenure of 2020 - 2025.

Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung thanked the Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee for their supports for the Soc Trang provincial police in particular, the People’s Public Security Forces in general. 

He also praised the efforts and achievements made by the Soc Trang provincial police over the past time.

Regarding the local police missions in the remaining months of 2020, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung requested the Party Committee and Directorate of the Soc Trang Provincial Police Department to direct the local police units and agencies to work out plans to ensure political security and safety in the localities in the second half of the year. He also stressed the importance of promoting the “All people protect the national security” movement as well as expanding local crime prevention and fighting models.

* On the same day, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung and his entourage visited and inspected Kenh 5 Prison under the Police Department of Prison, Correctional Center and Juvenile Reformatory Management located in Hau Giang province.

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung asked the leadership and correctional staff of Kenh 5 Prison to pay more attention to Party and force building and improve the quality of the accommodation, medical treatment, and vocational training for the prisoners.
