Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi works with An Giang province police

PSNews - Major General Le Tan Toi, Deputy Minister of Public Security (MPS), leading a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security, worked with the An Giang Provincial Police Department on September 9.

At the meeting, a representative of the An Giang Provincial Police Department briefed the delegates on its work of ensuring security and social order, as well as its communication services, information technology, security guarding, and foreign relations over the past time.

Since the beginning of the year, the provincial police have given timely and good advice on ensuring public order and security to the provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee. 

They also cooperated closely with local agencies and forces in preventing and fighting against crime as well as the COVID-19 pandemic, contributing to maintaining local security and social order and creating a favorable environment for socio-economic development and foreign relations in the locality.

In addition, the local police safeguarded high-ranking delegations visiting and working in An Giang, ensured security for the Party congresses at all levels as well as important political, economic, cultural, social events and foreign relations activities in the locality.

Speaking at the meeting, the Deputy Minister requested An Giang to focus on building a local strong and clean police force with internal unity and promoting close relations with the people. 

The An Giang Provincial Police Department should also continue consolidating the grassroots police force following the guidelines and directions of the Ministry of Public Security by sending more police officers at the grassroots level to training courses. 

Meanwhile, it should further strengthen its telecommunications infrastructure, cipher system, information technology, security guarding, and promote foreign affairs to effectively serve the implementation of its political tasks.
