In addition, they launched various intensive campaigns to crack down on crimes while successfully investigating numerous criminal cases related to drugs, corruption, economy, and smuggling in the locality.

Amid the complicated development of the COVID-19 situation, the Yen Bai police have coordinated with relevant agencies to set up nine checkpoints on the gateways to the province with the aim of controlling all people and vehicles entering the province, contributing to preventing the virus from spreading in the local community.

In addition, the local police forces launched various intensive campaigns against crimes and violations of the laws on possession of weapons, explosives and combat gears. As a result, in 2019, they seized 253 combat gears, 349 guns, 51 grenades, and three bombs.

Besides, they should further enhance measures to manage and control weapons, explosives and combat gears while promoting law dissemination and mobilizing people, organizations and agencies to surrender illegally stored weapons, explosives and combat gears to the authorities.

Furthermore, the local police should attach importance to strengtheningits communal-level police force while rendering more support to the newly-appointed police officers, helping them successfully fulfill their main tasks of ensuring public security and order in the locality.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc also urged the local police officers and soldiers to actively participate in blood donation movements in response to support Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong’s call and Minister To Lam’s letter, contributing to saving lives of patients at hospitals.
