Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son works with Thai Binh police

A delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) led by Deputy Minister Lt. Gen. Nguyen Van Son on November 11 had a meeting with the Thai Binh Provincial Police Department.

The event aimed to review the local police force’s performance of the tasks of protecting political security and public order in the province, as well as its technical and logistical work in the first 10 months of 2020.

Since the beginning of the year, the police of Thai Binh provincehave closely followed the directions of the MPS leadership and the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee, successfully fulfilled their assigned tasks.

The Provincial Police Department has attached importance to force building while providing sufficient logistic supplies and technical services for its sub-units to implement their tasks. The provincial police department has also completed the project to post at least five professional policemen to each commune in the province.

During the year, the police of Thai Binh province also actively coordinated with functional forces in the province in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic andprotecting security at concentrated quarantine centers.

To conclude the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son praised the efforts and achievements made by the Thai Binh police over the past months.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son requested the provincial police to pay due attention to effectively implementing the resolutions and directives of the Ministry of Public Security, the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee in the time to come while attaching importance to well performing their professional tasks, promoting the “All people protect national security” movement and readying their forces to deal with unexpected situations.

The Deputy Minister alsoasked the MPS’s Department of Construction and Barracks Management to cooperate with the Thai Binh provincial police to advise leaders of the MPS to build more workplaces and residences, and provide equipment for communal policemen in the province, thus to improve their living and working conditions and encourage them to fulfill their tasks.

On behalf of the leadership of the MPS, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son thanked the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee for their timely, effective support and directions for the local police force so that the local police can successfully fulfill its political tasks.

He hoped that the provincial authorities would continue to facilitate the building of the professional, elite and gradually modernized provincial police force to meet the requirements of the new situation.
