Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son works with traffic police

PSNews – Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security on February 15 had a meeting with the Traffic Police Department on key missions of the force in maintaining traffic order and safety.

Briefing the Deputy Minister and delegates, Major General Tran Son Ha, Director of the Traffic Police Department said the traffic police force has submitted the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry's leadership 6 major issues on implementing Directive No. 32 of the Prime Minister on strengthening vehicle load control; Directive No. 02 on strengthening traffic order and safety in the new context and Directive 18-CT/TW of the Secretariat of the Party’s Central Committee.

At the meeting, focusing on the work of maintaining traffic order and safety, delegates also reported Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son on difficulties, and proposed sound solutions to the task performance of the force.

Addressing the working session, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son praised the traffic police force for their achievements in the past time, well contributing to safety and social order for the people during Tet holidays.

The Deputy Minister of Public Security then urged the Traffic Police Department to well prepare for the upcoming conference to review the implementation of Directive 18-CT/TW of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee on 04 September 2012 on strengthening the leadership of the Party in  traffic safety and order maintenance on roads, railways and inland waterways, and to revise related documents to propose for timely amendment and supplement in line with the reality.

The traffic police force was also asked to exert all-out efforts and to cooperate closely with relevant forces to ensure absolute safety and security for all events and activities of the APEC 2017.

"The traffic police force should also focus on Party building and force building, and organize a criticism drive in line with the Resolution of the 4th Meeting of the Party Central Committee in a serious, practical and constructive manner. ", the Deputy Minister said.

At the working session, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son also asked the Traffic Police Department to study and to propose a plan to put “lucky” number plates out to tender, with the aim of bringing more profits to the State and the people.
