Deputy Minister of Public Security Bui Van Nam visits Cambodia

PSNews - Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Party Central Committee's member, Deputy Minister of Public Security, since November 22 to 24 led a high-ranking delegation of the Vietnam's Ministry of Public Security to pay a working visit to Cambodia.

During his working visit to Cambodia, Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam and the delegation paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Samdech Sar Kheng, Cambodia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior as well as worked with General Sok Phaland General Mao Chandara, Secretaries of State at the Cambodia's Ministry of the Interior.

At the meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Samdech Sar Kheng, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam thanked the host for the fine reception and extended regards from General To Lam, Member of the Politburo and Vietnam's Minister of Public Security to Mr. Samdech Sar Kheng.

The guest affirmed that the Vietnam's Ministry of Public Security would make efforts to promote effective cooperation with the Cambodian side in ensuring security of each country, preventing hostile forces from using the territory of one country to conduct sabotage activities against the other as well as in holding training courses for police officers of the two countries.

Mr. Samdech Sar Kheng highly appreciated the cooperation results between the two ministries over the past time in the prevention and combat of crimes, contributing to ensuring national security and public order and promoting socio-economic development of each country.

The Cambodian leader believed that the good relationship between the two ministries will surely be maintained in the coming time, serving as a basis for strengthening neighborly solidarity and good traditional friendship between the two peoples.

At the meeting with Mr. Sok Phal and Mr. Mao Chandara, the two sides discussed internationaland regional situations and as issues of mutual interest, including the coordination in handling legal papers, ensuring legitimate interests for Vietnamese nationals living andworking in Cambodia in line with the host country’s policies and laws.

On this occasion Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam, Mr. Vu Quang Minh, Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia, and other delegates inquired after Vietnamese families living in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia.

The Vietnamese officials encouraged the overseas Vietnamese to stabilize their lives and abide by the Cambodian laws. He affirmed that the Party and State of Vietnam always pay special attention and support to the overseas Vietnamese communities, including the Vietnamese community in Cambodia.
