Deputy Minister of Public Security Dang Hong Duc promoted to Senior Lieutenant General

The decision to promote Deputy Minister Dang Hong Duc to the rank of Senior Lieutenant General reaffirms the recognition of the Party and the State of the People's Public Security Forces (PPSF). It is a source of joy and pride for the Public Security Central Party Committee, the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, and all officers and soldiers of the PPSF, as well as a personal honor for the Deputy Minister, his family and his hometown.

General Secretary and State President To Lam, who is also the Chairman of the National Defense and Security Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, presided over a ceremony, on the afternoon of July 31, at the State Guest House, to present the decision promoting Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Dang Hong Duc to the rank of Senior Lieutenant General from Lieutenant General.

The ceremony was attended by Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang, and Member of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Office of the Party Central Committee Nguyen Hai Ninh.

Also present at the event were members of the Party Central Committee representing the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of National Defense, and various central agencies, ministries.

At the ceremony, authorized by the State President, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Nguyen Hoang Anh announced the President's decision on the rank promotion from Lieutenant General to Senior Lieutenant General for Deputy Minister of Public Security Dang Hong Duc.

Presenting the decision and speaking at the event on behalf of the Party and State leaders, General Secretary and State President To Lam warmly congratulated Deputy Minister Dang Hong Duc. He stated that the rank promotion was a shared joy and pride for the Public Security Central Party Committee, the Ministry's leadership, and all public security officers and soldiers, as well as a great personal honor for Deputy Minister Dang Hong Duc, his family and his hometown.

He emphasized that the promotion reflects the high recognition and appreciation of the Party, the State, and the People for Deputy Minister Dang Hong Duc’s exceptional contributions and dedication to the cause of national construction and defense, as well as the growth of the People's Public Security Forces.

General Secretary and State President To Lam noted that, in every position, he has held, Deputy Minister Dang Hong Duc has consistently demonstrated absolute integrity, strong political resolve and a high sense of responsibility toward the PPSF. He highlighted, while the cause of building and safeguarding the socialist Fatherland currently enjoys major opportunities, it also faces numerous difficulties and challenges.

Expressing his deep emotion upon receiving the promotion decision from General Secretary and State President To Lam, Deputy Minister Dang Hong Duc conveyed his sincere gratitude to the Party, the State, the General Secretary and State President, Minister Luong Tam Quang and the Public Security Central Party Committee for their guidance and support throughout his service.
