Milestones in safeguarding domestic security vividly recreated at "Peaceful Fatherland" exhibition

As part of the "Peaceful Fatherland" Gala celebrating the 80th anniversary of the People's Security Forces, the Department of Homeland Security has set up a special exhibition pavilion at the Ho Guom walking street.

The display offers the public a comprehensive overview of the department's historic journey of development, combat and growth.

Centered around the theme "For the Fatherland's Security – For a Peaceful Life," the pavilion vividly highlights key milestones in maintaining domestic security and honors the silent sacrifices of security officers and soldiers for the country. It also projects the image of the People's Public Security officer: courageous, intelligent, humane, and wholly dedicated to serving the nation and its people.

Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Minister of Public Security, and other delegates visited the exhibition booth of the Department of Homeland Security.

Zone 1: Building a solid, interconnected and widespread domestic security network

The first section outlines the core functions and missions of the Homeland Security force. It reflects the unit's ongoing modernization and professionalization in line with Party resolutions and the directives of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security.

Here, visitors can view impactful imagery of domestic security operations across various sectors, alongside a display of advanced weaponry and counter-terrorism equipment. Each artifact underscores the unit's continuous training, combat readiness, and integration of science and technology to meet the demands of the new era.

Zone 2: Safeguarding domestic security early on, from afar and at the grassroots

Transitioning from organizational history to practical operations, the second area focuses on the theme "Safeguarding Domestic Security Early, from Afar, and at the Grassroots."

In this zone, the Department presents physical evidence and imagery captured during counter-terrorism and counter-reactionary operations, alongside efforts to maintain ethnic, religious, and social stability. Each exhibit is tied to specific cases, demonstrating the force's proactive intelligence gathering and early intervention strategies to neutralize potential threats at the grassroots level before they could escalate.

Cultural exchanges and interactive experiences

A major highlight of the pavilion is the cultural exchange and performance area. Moving beyond operational achievements, this space offers an intimate look at a very relatable, everyday side of the force that remains deeply rooted in Vietnam's national identity.

The performances showcase the distinct traditions of the Northwest, Central Highlands, and Southwest regions. An ethnic traditional orchestra paired with an energetic youth performance troupe delivers culturally vibrant and emotionally deep musical acts. Through this space, the organizers convey the core ethos of the Homeland Security Force: "Most Disciplined, Most Loyal, Closest to the People."

Right beside the stage, visitors can join security officers in a traditional bamboo dance (nhảy sạp). More than just an interactive activity, the dance symbolizes the deep trust, solidarity, and bond between the police and the public, a reminder that national security is always built upon a solid "people's hearts-and-minds" posture.

The interactive media and communication zone has also drawn large crowds. Through LED screens, documentaries and visual displays educate the public on Party policies and State laws regarding domestic security. Furthermore, awareness-raising documentaries help citizens recognize the plots, methods, and tactics of hostile and reactionary forces, thereby raising public vigilance and civic responsibility.

For younger visitors, a QR-code-based interactive quiz serves as a standout feature. This modern approach makes learning about legal matters and identifying security threats engaging and accessible. Participants are rewarded with souvenirs bearing the logos of the People's Public Security Forces and the Homeland Security Force, printed with promotional slogans commemorating the event.

The final stop is a dedicated photo booth where audiences can take pictures and receive instant prints. The photos are framed with the event's core slogans, including "Peaceful Fatherland Gala," "80 Years of People's Security Force," "The Silent Shield," and "For the Fatherland's Security – For a Peaceful Life," leaving audiences with a lasting memory of the celebration.
