PSNews - Major General Tran Quoc To, Deputy Minister of Public Security, led a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security to work with the Nghe An Provincial Police Department on August 25.

At the meeting, representatives of the provincial police briefed the delegates on the results of the “All people protect national security” movement in the province and their management of criminal records over the past 8 months.

During the time, the Nghe An provincial police actively advised the local authorities to effectively post professional police officers to all communes and transfer semi-professional communal policemen to other positions. The local police also organized practical activities in celebration of the 15th “All People Protecting National Security” Festive Day while popularizing typical models in the movement “All people protect national security”.

Furthermore, the Nghe An Provincial Police Department completed the procedures for the use and storage of professional documents, and guided the communal police to make and manage their criminal records and archives in line with the Ministry of Public Security’s Decree on the function of investigation of the communal police force. The provincial police also promoted administrative reforms in management of criminal records and archives.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To lauded the provincial police for its efforts over the past time.

The Deputy Minister requested, the Nghe An police should continuously renovate the contents and forms of the “All people protect national security” movement and other patriotic emulation movements launched by the local authorities, contributing to mobilizing more people to participate in the movements. They should also pay due attention to the emulation and commendation work.

The Nghe An Provincial Police Department should also apply technological advances to collecting, managing, and using criminal records and archives. Especially, the local police forces should to strictly follow the regulations on the management of the criminal documents and information to avoid letting out confidential information or losing professional documents.
