Director of An Giang police visits religious chapters in the area

PSNews - Recently, the delegation of the An Giang Provincial Police Department led by Senior Colonel Dinh Van Noi, Director of the An Giang Provincial Police visited and presented gifts to religious chapters in the area.

Senior Colonel Dinh Van Noi and other delegates visited the Executive Board of the United Buddhist Shangha of Vietnam’s An Giang provincial chapter, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Long Xuyen, Long Xuyen Parish Church, the Representative Office of the Islamic Community in An Giang province and Khmer temples in Tri Ton district and Tinh Bien district.

During the visits to the religious chapters in the area, Senior Colonel Dinh Van Noi highly appreciated the contributions of Venerable Monks, Bishops, Priests and other religious dignitaries as well as local religion followers to ensuring local order and security, and promoting socio-economic development in An Giang.

He hoped that, the relationship between religious chapters and the An Giang Provincial Police Department will be strengthened in the coming time. At the same time, he also requested religious dignitaries to direct local religion followers to effectively implement the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws as well as to join hands with the Public Security Forces in ensuring social order and security.

For their part, the religious representatives expressed sincere thanks to the An Giang Provincial Police Department for the care and support for the local religious chapters over the past years. They appreciated, the An Giang Provincial Police Department created favourable conditions for local people to fully practice their religious rights and freedom.

They promised to mobilize and guide local religion followers to unite together, better carry out patriotic emulation movements,  jointly build and promote the great national unity bloc, contributing to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

On this occasion, Major General Bui Be Tu, former Director of the An Giang Provincial Police Department thanked religious dignitaries in the area for their support to the force over the past time.
