Draft report on Public Security Forces’ task performance reviewed

PSNews – The Public Security Ministry held a seminar on November 28th, in Hanoi with the participation of its subordinate agencies and units to discuss a draft report on the task performance of the Public Security Forces in 2016. 

Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Deputy Minister of Public Security chaired the seminar.

The seminar saw the participation of leaders of all General Departments, High Commands and under-ministry agencies as well as Directors of all Public Security schools.

The seminar listened to the draft report on the situation and results of the Public Security Forces in ensuring security and social order in 2016. Participants then discussed and gave opinions on the contents of the draft summarization of the Public Security Forces in 2016 as well as proposed solutions to successfully fulfill all the forces’ security and social order tasks in 2017.

Addressing the seminar, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam underscored that 2016 is the first year the country has implemented the 12th Party Congress’s five-year Resolution. Therefore, leaders of all General Departments, High Commands, under-ministry agencies as well as local fire police forces should focus on studying global and regional situations, which are likely to leave major impacts on domestic politics, socio-economic development, foreign affairs, national defence and security.

In addition, the entire public security forces should also pay due attention to issues relating to Party building, force building, social order and safety, especially promoting management of residence, controlling weapon use and storage, fighting violation of environmental regulations, and reducing traffic accidents.  

Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam instructed the Ministerial Office to record all opinions and ideas from participants for further consideration and soon complete a 2016 general report for the 2016 summarization conference of the Public Security Forces.
